JAMMS - BCC players Jordan Lim, Alan Glenton, Mick Foot, Marty Clements, Morgan Foot and Steve McGinness competed in the OIS Indoor Grand Final (Mens M) on Wednesday night ( 26 October ) and came out on top with a scintillating display of indoor cricket prowess. Interviewed after the historic victory, Steve McGinness (Captain) stated that the win was due to a complex array of reasons including his loopy spinners, hitting the ball with the bat, and catching the opposition batsmen on the full. He added, "...this victory will go down in BCC history. We went out tonight with a clear game plan and although we changed it after the first over, it clearly worked."
JAMMS opened the batting and set Dum Biryani an achievable target of 112. However solid bowling and fielding from JAMMS kept Dum Biryani behind at all stages and a final score of 81. The JAMMS boys celebrated with their ever-increasing fan-base of three with a few cleansing Gatorades (thanks Winnie), which clearly got the better of Morgan as his trophy is now in six pieces.
On a more serious note... Thanks to our fill-in players during the season; Mick (Al's mate), Pat and Thommo (Steve's mates), Mark Walsh (everyone's mate) and anyone else we've forgotten. Our official cheerleader was the hard-working Winnie Lim (thanks again Winnie, send the fuel bill to Paul Ciccarella...).
