The MCA Vet's v Under 21's was a great day but unfortunatley the Vets lost by 10 runs chasing 108 on a very slow pitch which wasn't easy to score runs on.
Mick Foot was a significant bowler and probably the best of the Vets. Bowling first change, Mick finished with figures of 2 for 19 off 5 with both wickets coming in his first over and in successive balls, putting him on a hat-trick, however it was not to be.
He then came in to bat with the Vets at 8/42 and was the last wicket to fall, out on 14 with the score on 98 (second highest score for the vets).
Whilst Steve "Hammy" McGinness came in at number three and was solid, he was tempted with a pull shot which hit high on the bat and was caught at square leg by the tallest kid in the team.
A great day was had by all with both Bentleigh players well supported by their families.
