Bentleigh has taken out both the CSB Division 3 senior, and SECA U12B junior flags last weekend.

At Arthur Street the 2nd XI made it difficult for Carnegie by setting a total of 309 on the Saturday with great performances from Shane Jeffree (91) and Fred Horler (90), and resistance from Matt Stonier and Ruwantha Ekanayake (32 each). Even coach Chris Seisun added an important 29 at the back of the innings (ably assisted by his preferred runner, Tully Foot...). Bentleigh never let Carnegie get into the game with solid bowling performances from all bowlers, but standouts of Steve Booth (11 overs, 3/29), Adrian McInness (10 overs 1/22) and player of the match Shane Jeffree (9 overs, 2/18).

In a closer encounter the U12B team defeated South Melbourne Districts by just 8 runs at Victory Park. After day 1 the game was evenly balanced. On day 2 South Melbourne Districts looked in control of the outcome, but the boys fought back (after giving their coach Dave Tesoriero a stressful time) taking some key wickets. While Spencer Saarinsen took out the player of the match, all the lads had a great game.
