Bentleigh Scoreboard Complete

After a year in the making, Bentleigh Recreation Reserve has a new electronic scoreboard.  The scoreboard will be used for both cricket and football and was a joint project between the Bentleigh Cricket Club, Bentleigh Football Club, Bentleigh Junior Football Club and the Glen Eira City Council.

After successfully securing part funding from the Glen Eira City Council in the 2009-10 Community Grants, the three tenant clubs funded the rest of the project and worked together over the last 12 months to see the project finally finish this week.

Project Manager, Matthew Thorp (Bentleigh Cricket Club) said it was great to see the project finally complete.  "It has been hard work and would not have been possible without all three clubs working together.  The Glen Eira Council have been very supportive as have all those involved with the project including R&N Building Services, R&N Solar Installation, Van Gough Painting and Westpac Bentleigh."

"The scoreboard adds to an already first class facility and will no doubt be the eny of many clubs - cricket and football.  We gave it a test run in the semi final and it just looks great.  It really completes the picture that is Bentleigh Recreation Reserve."
